Sinevibes has released Atom and Drift, two new free Korg plugins for SDK logue engine hardware synths like NTS-1 mk2, NTS-3, and more.
At the beginning of October, Korg released firmware 2.0 for the microKORG 2, which unlocked the popular Logue SDK engine. Until then, it had been hidden in the hardware.
For this release, they collaborated with Ukrainian developer Sinevibes to offer customers 15 plugins compatible with the hardware from day 1. At the same time, Sinevibes also announced Atom and Drift, two new free Korg plugins, and they are now available.
Sinevibes Atom and Drift
The new Atom and Drift Korg plugins are out now as a free download from the Sinevibes webstite.
Great, there are not just for the recently updated microKORG 2 Synthesizer but also for all other Logue SDK synths like the minilogue xd or the NTS-1 mk2. There is one expection, drumlogue.
Atom is a dynamic multimode state variable filter with five different filter modes (low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch, peaking) with a smooth yet charismatic sound.
Each mode gives you the option to run the filter up to 4 stages in series with auto-scaling resonance. This makes its frequency response slope variable from -12 up to extremely steep -48 dB/octave.
Each filter can be tweaked with classic cutoff and resonance controls. Additionally, it has a built-in sine LFO and input envelope follower.
There is one downer for first gen Logue hardware: here the plugin only has the -24dB octave config and lacks built-in modulation. This is due to the internal power and memory for the individual Korg plugins.
A Wind Turbulence Simulator
Alognside Sinevibes Atom is Drift, a more unique Korg plugin. It’s a wind turbulence simulator based on the so-called Lorenz oscillator.
Sinevibes says: it’s a three-dimensional chaos system widely used in science to model the flow of gases and liquids, including for weather prediction. It is capable to produce three correlated, never-repeating outputs.
In Drift, however, these signals are separately applied onto level, pan, and cutoff frequencies of one-pole low-pass/high-pass filters connected in serial.
Thanks to such three-dimensional modulation, the plugin gives any sound a natural, chaotic yet smooth movement similar to wind gusts or boiling water.
I can’t link you to a video demo at this time, but there are audio demos on the Sinevibes website. In the meantime, here is a demo with the other available Sinevibes Korg plugins.
First Impression
A great gift from Korg and Sinevibes. The Drift is particularly appealing, as it’s like an mix of an overdriven chorus and a whirlwind. A very distinct, unusual character. I can say: don’t miss these two freebies for your SDK Logue synths.
Sinevibes Atom and Drift are available now as a free download from the official website. They run as a Korg plugin on the Korg NTS-1 mk2, NTS-3, microKORG 2, NTS-1 mk1, Minilogue xd, and Prologue 8/16.

please use the accepted “SDK2 Logue” if it’s for Drumlogue and later gear to reduce confusion. Drift is a great effects, especially with Albedo/-
these plugins are for SDK 1.0 and SDK 2.0 and the engine is called SDK Logue
drumlogue uses a different SDK version not compatible with the 1.0 and 2.0. It’s a hybrid of 1.0 and 2.0. Plus, drumlogue is discontinued so don’t expect much happening there.
no.
