On Wednesday evening, Spectrasonics announced Omnisphere 3, which will be released on October 21st. At 399€ for the full download version, it’s one of the most expensive Synthesizer plugins on the market.
On the upside, however, Spectrasonics isn’t participating in the annual Black Friday or Christmas marathon. The price remains stable over the year. Occasionally, retailers offer discounts on the boxed version. Yes, Spectrasonics still sells software in the old-school way—boxed. This is also the case now.
Deal Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2
The software retailer Best Service (the German Plugin Boutique pendant) is currently offering a rare discount on the boxed version of Omnisphere 2 to customers of the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
On top of that, you get Omnisphere 3 as a free update during the grace period. So for a limited time, you can get the boxed version for 349€ instead of 399€, plus free shipping in the EU. So a 50€ OFF, so a 12% discount.
That’s not much, but it’s better than no discount at all. Since Spectrasonics doesn’t officially offer discounts, this is a rare opportunity to get Omnisphere 3 for a bit less.
If you are still using Omnisphere 1, you can also make a great deal. Best Service is offering a 30% discount on the boxed upgrade to Omnisphere 2, from 199€ to 139€, plus a free upgrade to Omnisphere 3 on release. The price includes free shipping.
