Sequential Forum: here are sound demos and content published around the new “spiritual Pro-4” polyphonic analog Synthesizer.
Late this afternoon (EU time), Sequential introduced the Fourm (not Forum), a new polyphonic analog Synthesizer with a polyphonic aftertouch keybed. I described it as a spiritual Pro-4 because it incorporates elements of two Prophets: the Prophet-5 and the Pro-1. And funny enough, Pro-5 minus Pro-1 equals Pro-4.
The Sequential Fourm release also included some videos from content creators and shops with sound demos.

Talking / Review Videos
The new Sequential “budget” synth sounds very good in the first demos. To me, it sounds very similar to the Prophet-5. However, for me, and strictly personally speaking, it’s still missing the “must-have” factor. Maybe I’ve too many synths that cover that field.
For someone who always wanted the Prophet-5 sound but never had the budget for a P5, here you get a compact one with nice extras but minus one voice.

I use the Toraiz AS-1 for my main bass synth and have this desire to call it the “Pro One” because it’s a single voice pulled from the Prophet 6. Obviously that title is taken. What a conundrum!
Anyways, I see what they’re going for here. It has that Prophet sound which IS quality. There’s something nice about a poly analog synth in a small package.
I do wish the waveforms were variable like on the P6/AS-1(“Pro One pt.2”) because it’s super nice to modulate those TRI-SAW-PULSE oscillators using an envelope, OSC2, or MIDI sequencing. Or my fav patch: MIDI to modulate OSC2 waveform -> OSC2(not heard) is modulating OSC1 waveform! :O
