A leak on Reddit shows possible new Teenage Engineering products, incl. the Riddim Supertone, an EP groove bass-style machine, and an FX & mixer.
With the EP-133 K.O., Teenage Engineering had a huge hit. They’ve also given the sampling device another impressive upgrade with firmware 2.0. The weird EP-1320, a version with a medieval look and sound, followed this.
These weren’t the last EP products. A leak on Reddit the previous night shows new possible Teenage Engineering EP products, including the Riddim Supertone, a dedicated FX processor, and a Mixer.
Leak Teenage Engineering Riddim Supertone
Leaks on Reddit by Emblaze5918 and one on X by Koji Seto (@eguri89) showed the new Teenage Engineering products. Whether they are finished products is unclear.
It’s not yet clear what the new products will be, but we can already see some details of the hardware. The leak photos of the Teenage Engineering Riddim Supertone show a device that is very reminiscent of previous EP products and would fit perfectly into the line.
This includes the clicky buttons, the knobs and fader (hopefully not again a fader gate), but also the minimal but colorful designed display.
The leakers say that the Ridim Supertone could be a groove bass machine with built-in effects, with a focus on performances. As you can see in the pictures, the hardware has labels for bass, drums, and keys.
Then, the buttons have labels for parameters like pitch, attack, release, LPF, and HPF filters, which give us an early look at possible features.
Reddit users suggest that this new EP model will have a specific set of signal shaping effects like distortion, filters, and more that match the bass engine.
FX & Mixer
The leak of the Teenage Engineering Riddim Supertone has also revealed two other possible products. One is a battery-operated stereo mixer that fits the shape of the EP series.
It has a screen and controls over the gain, EQ (high, mid, low), cue, and two faders. Plus, other controls like the volume, phones, and more. It also has probably a stereo input, output, and an AUX connection. There is also a USB port.
Another possible product is the Teenage Engineering Ting FX. According to the leakers, it’s an EP-style external FX unit that probably provides effects like modulation, distortion, rhythmic effects, or reverb.
To me, it looks more like a mobile speaker in the EP look. Let’s see what all this will be
It was to be expected that more EP products would come onto the market. We’ll see when they become official.

I like the mini Mixer thing.
Could be handy if it doubles up as an audio interface (more than likely) and the price is good.
As for the Bass Synth, not sure how inputing notes would work efficiently if there is no keyboard representation. But time will tell.
Tx for the share
My thoughts on that are that it would be the same as when you are inputting notes on the existing KO II (or any other device with pads, like a MPC, Launchpad, etc). You set the scale (or no scale), and then play.
Just like the existing KO II.
Is this the EP-40 and EP-2350 from the recently poster people noticed going up?

From one of the additional pics on the reddit post it looks like the ting is a mic, not a speaker. Could totally be wrong but it seems to have just one permanently attached cable from the bottom going into the in on the riddim… Also it’s hard to notice but it looks to have a paddle switch on the left side (same color as the back clip), kind of like a cb radio mic.
incredible feat – having such a solid industrial design and ruining it with abominable typography.
if they gave it away free I wouldnt take it. its indescribably offensive.
I am impressed how garbage this looks.
