Behringer BM-15M Murf Box is a clone/replica of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-105M analog filterbank pedal: ready for pre-order

In March 2022, Behringer announced the AD104, a clone/replica of the legendary and highly popular Moog Moogerfooger analog delay pedal. Further announcements followed in 2023. Since then, however, there has been no news or updates on these projects.
Today, Thomann set another Moogerfooger clone online that hadn’t even been introduced yet. It’s the Behringer BM-15M Murf Box, an authentic clone/replica of the Moog Moogerfooger MF-105M MIDI MURF filterbank pedal, aka Multiple Resonance Filter Array from 2009.
Behringer BM-15M Murf Box
Like the original, the BM-15M Murf Box is an analog filterbank sequencer with eight filters.
The input signal passes through a series of eight tuned bandpass filters, which are controlled (triggered) by a pattern generator and an envelope follower.
As the unit is based on the MIDI MURF version, you can switch between mid (110 Hz – 1.8 kHz) and bass (200 Hz – 3.4 kHz) frequency bands to animate the desired frequency on the panel.
The built-in pattern generator offers 24 distinct filter patterns to select from, with and without an active LFO.
Each filter is assigned to a volume control. By varying the volume of the filters, you can achieve complex and varied rhythmic patterns. An adjustable drive circuit provides additional power to the output stage.
Connectivity
On the backside, you have a mono audio input, a stereo output (L/R), and TRS inputs/CV for the rate, mix, envelope follower, and LFO/sweep, allowing you to control it with an expression pedal. There is also a TAP/Step input.
The BM-15M Murf Box also features a MIDI input and a USB-C port, providing advanced MIDI capabilities. You can control its parameters with MIDI and sync its effects with other MIDI-compatible gear. Plus, there is a power supply input.
Like the original, it also comes with an editor for customizing the patterns. And of course, you also have a switch in the middle to activate/deactivate the pedal.
First Impression
A surprising announcement/release. I was expecting a release of the analog delay pedal. I’m curious to see how quickly it will be available and whether it can keep up with the original Moogerfooger.
