Superbooth 24: Korg announces Korg Collection 5, an update for its emulation package with the new ARP 2600, EP-1, and VOX Super Continental

Plugins that emulate synthesizers and other instruments are popular among music producers. The V Collection from Arturia is a very well-known bundle. The Korg Collection is the “counteroffer” from the Japanese company Korg. Of course, packed with synths and instrument from their product vintage and modern catalog.

There is a new bundle version on the horizon. For Superbooth 24, Korg previews the Korg Collection 5 bundle with three new plugins.

The new Korg Collection 5 is not yet on the market. But you can get a foretaste at Superbooth 24. Korg Collection will feature three new plugins.

The Highlight will be an authentic emulation of the ARP 2600 Synthesizer. According to the official press, they spend months examining every detail of the originals and the current diagrams. Okay, that always works for emulations.

Korg promises that this is the only ARP 2600 plugin that can authentically reproduce all 100 sounds from the original 2600 patch book. It’s a promise, so let’s see if it’s the case. They also added anti-aliasing techniques to guarantee premium audio quality.

KORG Collection 5 ARP 2600 will offer both classic modifications and completely new modules while maintaining the original instrument’s distinctive character and design philosophy.

Other new instruments will be authentic emulations of the EP-1 electric piano and the VOX Super Continental e- organ. Ok, two plugins that don’t catch me as much, but maybe you’re out there.

Korg Collection 5 will be available in early Summer 2024. This year, Korg will have a booth (E100) at Superbooth 24, where you can already check out the ARP 2600 plugin. Stay tuned for all details in Summer 2024.

  1. Korg is doing great work with their back catalog. I look forward to them working on the PS3100, either in hardware or VST form.
