Sample Logic ARPOLOGY For Kontakt 5 Player Review

To get a better idea how ARPOLOGY sound, check out my video review on the Synth Anatomy youtube channel. You can find here several sound examples with different styles.

In my opinion, ARPOLOGY is one of the best sample libraries I have ever test for Kontakt 5. This is not only due of the excellent sound content but also because the interface is very complex but in the same time very user-friendly. I have rarely seen such an interesting and powerful arpeggiation/sequencer combination in a Kontakt 5 library, which makes it possible to design so crazy and wired results. Above all, features such as the Stutter effect or the different tempo per step allow you to crate very complex rhythmical sounds. You can definitely see ARPOLOGY as one of the best rhythmic oriented sample library instruments for the Native Instruments Kontakt 5 Player.

In addition to the good points, there are also some criticisms to mention here. If you want to design a preset zero, you must first scroll through the different presets to find the right sample. I would be better if you can change the sample content in the interface. Another important point for me is the missing sample manipulation option here. Unfortunately, you can’t edit in depth the sample content.

Even if there are these criticisms, it remains for me an extremely powerful sound design tool for rhythmical elements.

Review summary

+ high-quality sample content

+ advanced but easy-to-use interface

+ complex arp/sequencer combination with endless possibilities

+ excellent factory presets

– build a sound from scratch is difficult

– in depth manipulations of the sample content near impossible

Sample Logic ARPOLOGY is now available for $399.99 USD

  1. Hi Fredy. ARPOLOGY is a sample library for the Kontakt 5 Player. Don’t have experience with Sibelius but I thin it has AAX support so you can install the Kontakt 5 player in Sibelius. You receive 550 instrument presets which you can use directly and don’t need to create new once. Hope this helps.
